Is your little one a budding Picasso?
Teach them how to use a crayon and they’re bound to surprise you. Admittedly the results may be rather abstract, but it's an excellent way to awaken their senses!
If you're looking for an easy, inexpensive activity for your baby, go for colouring. This is something you don't need to restrict, because colouring in helps your baby to develop. As your little one learns how to use a crayon their imagination runs free. They learn to recognise colours, textures and shapes. All in all, colouring is a great educational form of play that they'll love.
The best way to learn is by doing something you enjoy – it’s the same for babies as it is for us – and all children like colouring in! It's easy, inexpensive and great fun! You can still incorporate certain rules, though. For example, once your little one is a bit bigger and has started to understand instructions, you'll be able to encourage them not to go over the lines and teach them to tell the difference between the various colours. It’s also a great way to learn how to play nicely with their brothers and sisters too!
Create a space
Set up a space just for them so that your baby feels comfortable colouring in. A little table that's just the right height will help them to move freely. From crayons and colouring pencils to water-colours and colouring books, it's easy to introduce your little one to the world of an artist.
What are you waiting for? Create that masterpiece!
